it works well in most cases. for the price it's a good buy. ordered the sony arm walkman and got the belt clip. the weatherband not so good.
Oh, at least the belt clip hasn't broken yet, even though it keeps slipping off my belt. I tried 2-4 different ear buds & head sets to no avail. Biggest complaint is the ear bud jack that within 1-2 months of use I get either right or left side of stereo sound and not both at once. This is the same problem I have had with other portable Sony radio products. Reception poor with a lot of FM band overlapping.
Needest to say, I am not buying another Sony portable radio. And I have to keep moving the jack to get one side. Tune for one station get 2-3 overlaping. Nice size portable radio. Battery door broke within 2 weeks of use.
You can't get to the plug in socket to fix without damaging the radio.
Lightweight and good enough sound for talk radio. My first one finally died.I like the fact that you can "hold" the station and then throw it in your jeans pockets or shirt pocket and it will not go off of the chosen station. I have had this radio for quite a few years now and really like it. I use it to listen to Air America on the local AM radio station. It is nice to use when doing yardwork, etc.
I have purchased several pocket radios, including 2 from Sony, but none had the reception, clarity and easy of use than the Sony SFR-M37V. There is a similar radio from Sony that cost 2/3 less, but there is no comparison. I lived most of the year abroad. My wife is trilled with the radio and so am I.This is a product where the price does not matter, because it does the job.
No audio signal received from TV channels due to TV digital conversion. TV radio should be removed from the product description
